A trip across Europe on 17m

November 2, 2008

This morning I managed to get a little time in the shack. The digital portion of the 17m band was busy with PSK31 signals from Europe. With my QRP signal it was fun to work a number of European stations. These were, in order:

  • 2I0SAI, Simon in Portadown, Northern Ireland
  • F2YT, Paul in Arras, France
  • IW2NLU, Romano in Mantova, Italy
  • YU7YG, Alex in Novi Sad, Serbia

Four European contacts on 2nd Nov. 2008

When plotted (I use Platial) these show quite regular steps heading South East across Europe. Pure chance, but it does look like a rather nice trip across Europe.

A list of my November Contacts is here and the corresponding map is here.
