Hey Alan,
I was aware of the local Maker Faire shortly after if was first announced. Unfortunately circumstances conspired against me and it didn’t make it to the faire
Was there any Amateur Radio presence?
Early on after learning of the event I sent several emails to a couple of different RAC board members with some details of the event with the suggestion that it could provide a good PR venue for the RAC but I didn’t even get the courtesy of a reply.
I also passed the info onto Barry Crampton VE3BSB as he might have been interested in relation to his activities with the balloon launches from Perth. He thanked me and indicated that he was interested but I don’t know where the idea ended up.
I do know there was an exhibit by one of the local robotics groups and their reports seem to indicate that the affair was well attended.
